On November 3, Goodwin’s Neighborhood Business Initiative will co-host a free networking event and legal workshop, Doing Business Online – Legal Basics for Small Businesses at Brooklyn FoodWorks (630 Flushing Ave) from 6-8 p.m. Start Small Think Big and Brooklyn FoodWorks will join Goodwin as hosts of the event.
During the workshop, Goodwin lawyers will cover the legal basics in operating an online business, including terms of service agreements, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, privacy and data protection, and information on using a limited liability entity.
NBI is a program founded and run by Goodwin to bring business and legal services to entrepreneurs and small-business owners in Greater Boston, New York and California, who are members of underserved communities, or whose businesses positively impact underserved neighborhoods.
