Last fall, we proudly announced the addition of Cort Johnson, venture partner at greater Boston-based venture firm Accomplice, to the Founders Workbench advisory board. At Accomplice, Cort’s work focuses primarily on investing in early-stage technologies, from seed to series A funding rounds.
We recently sat down with Cort to get his insights into several areas important to startup founders. We discussed what it takes to successfully launch a company, common traits shared by successful founders and their teams, and what the motivation should be for raising money. Cort also shared his thoughts on one critical need that will help companies operate more effectively: developing a solution that can manage and analyze the vast amounts of information created in today’s ‘Big Data’ business settings.
