The Founders Workbench team has been hard at work partnering with Goodwin Procter’s FinTech Practice to assist the next generation of innovative and disruptive FinTech start ups.
The vibrancy of the burgeoning FinTech industry was on full display at two recent events we sponsored. Held in Boston and New York, these events gave members of the FinTech startup community a chance to network, socialize and listen in on insights from FinTech industry thought leaders.
FinTech Sandbox
On March 26, we toasted the launch of the FinTech Sandbox, a not-for-profit that helps FinTech startups in their development of innovative financial products and services by providing beta access to free data sets, as well as a community of mentors and other resources. Attended by high-growth entrepreneurs, well-connected financial services executives, supportive data and other service providers, and other members of the startup community, the evening event in Boston’s innovation provided ample opportunity for networking and industry insights.
Investor and Trader Tools Meetup
On April 9 in New York City, Goodwin Procter hosted the inaugural Investor and Trader Tools Meetup event, organized by Dan Raju, Founder and CEO of Tradier, an API-based trading platform. In addition to Mr. Raju, the event featured some of today’s most innovative thought leaders and entrepreneurs in the FinTech space, including a keynote presentation by Michael Murphy, CEO of RoseCliff Capital and regular commentator on CNBC’s Fast Money and Fast Money Halftime Report, and additional presentations provided by CEO and Founder Jaret Broad of QuantConnect, CEO and Founder Dan Schliefer of ChartIQ, and CEO and Founder Paul Moreno of iBillionaire. Attendees learned about the latest trends in trading and investing while networking with a diverse group of traders, startups, investors and entrepreneurs.
For more information on either of these groups, please visit the FinTech Sandbox website, or the Investor and Trader Tools Meetup website. And don’t forget to keep up to date on these and other startup events by following Founders Workbench on Twitter, Facebook ,LinkedIn and YouTube.
We hope to see you at upcoming FinTech events!
