With 2015 now fully underway, we look forward to a year of exciting growth. During the holidays, we took the opportunity to relax and reflect, as well as to look forward and identify what might be on the horizon.
As we thought about the coming year, we conducted a scan of “what’s coming in 2015” articles on some of our favorite sites. This produced several worthwhile reads, and we wanted to share them with our Founders Workbench readers. Below are some of the posts we’re seen recently that provide interesting takes on emerging trends and what founders should look for in 2015:
- 6 New Year’s Resolutions for Entrepreneur Wannabes – many would-be entrepreneurs have only dreamed of owning their own business or starting a crowdfunded Kickstarter venture. Drew Hendricks maps out the steps necessary for turning that dream into reality.
- 10 Startups to Watch in 2015 – Seth Fiegerman looks to areas of potential startup excitement in 2015. While topping the drama of 2014 will be difficult, he sees several areas of potential action (hint: it’s not just about Uber!).
- 15 FinTech Startups to Watch in 2015 – FWB became involved in Goodwin Procter’s creation of its new FinTech Practice, a recently expanded cross-disciplinary legal team, because we wanted to be able to offer broader market reach and better access to new business opportunities in the growing arena of financial tech. Ilya Pozin very helpfully analyzes some of the emerging opportunities for startups within this dynamic space.
- The Three Gifts Entrepreneurs Provide the World – Lest anyone forget the value entrepreneurs provide to the economy and to society, David Hagenbuch reminds us that entrepreneurs deliver more than most of us ever realize.
If your holidays didn’t leave you enough time for some good reading, we hope you’ll have time to review these recommended posts. From all of us at Founders Workbench – wishing you the very best of success in 2015!
