On April 1, Goodwin Procter and Founders Workbench welcomed Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (YEI) for an evening gathering in the firm’s New York office.
Hosted by Yale President Peter Salovey and YEI Managing Director Jim Boyle, the event featured speakers from student start-ups and a discussion on the university’s expansion of innovation at Yale. Among the 86 attendees were Goodwin Procter’s Jeff Klein, Ryan LaForce, Mulon Luo, Emma van Rooyen, and Bill Schnoor, who is also a member of YEI’s Advisory Council.
YEI was formed in 2007 as a summer program to help undergraduate and graduate Yale students start scalable new ventures and has since grown into a year-round university department. Since its founding, YEI has supported the formation and growth of over 75 student-founded ventures.
