Goodwin Procter and Founders Workbench recently hosted New York Angels’ first screening session of 2014 at the firm’s New York office. NYA is a member-led organization that provides a forum for participants to exchange information about investment opportunities in early-stage technology and emerging growth companies. The monthly screening event features 14-16 companies selected from over 100 applicants, giving founders the opportunity to pitch for funding.
Vanessa Pestritto, Program Director at NYA, was pleased with the January event, saying “the screening was excellent - we had over 50 attendees and 14 companies pitch for funding. The angels look forward to proceeding with the entrepreneurs for interesting investment opportunities.“
