Goodwin Procter is a sponsor of the New England Clean Energy Council and will host this month's networking reception and discussion on financing in the clean tech space. Deploying innovative clean energy technologies frequently poses unique financing challenges. Even with government grants, tax incentives, and loan guarantees, the deployment of new energy technologies often requires joint ventures, strategic investors, or projects with specific vendees or stakeholders. Finding the right strategic partner is difficult, as is structuring the deal and allocating risk between parties. These barriers must be surpassed in order for companies to demonstrate the feasibility of their technologies at scale. Expert panelists, including RJ Lyman, will take a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities for clean energy companies in deploying innovative technologies.
