This week kicks off the three-month MassChallenge Accelerator program. Goodwin Procter is fortunate to be a sponsor of MassChallenge. As a sponsor, we've participated in the judging of the teams to help MC choose the 125 finalists participating in the accelerator. Now it's time for the hard work as each of the 125 teams feverishly works to advance its vision and become a real, impactful company. The MassChallenge objectives include:
* Promoting innovation, collaboration and commercialization
* Addressing the seed-stage investment gap, empowering novice entrepreneurs
* Providing educational opportunities for entrepreneurs
* Showcasing entrepreneurship assets and infrastructure locally and nationally
Because Goodwin’s so actively involved in the tech space, working with all the main VCs in Boston, New York and California, we are excited to work with these early stage companies and help them hone their business plans and products. We are looking forward to helping MassChallenge keep the entrepreneurial community growing in Boston.
Personally, I have to say that there is more excitement and energy around the Boston entrepreneurial community now than I've seen for many years. The companies getting started really have fundable ideas and a true chance of becoming viable businesses. Let us know if you're interested in finding out more about MassChallenge or about working with start-ups.
